Personal note to everybody:

I would rather sit here as an emotionally compromised puddle of goo flailing over the episode, but instead I’m running around putting out fires all over the place. Between pinefest draft submissions, the Secret Santa chapters coming in (and WHOOOOO! THANK YOU TO ALL MY SECRET SANTA AUTHORS, I’M LOVING THIS!), and then the real life situation I have getting ready to fly home tomorrow, I’m… a wee bit overwhelmed with general stuff and things today…

I swear I will get to the inbox for flailing purposes later today. I WANT TO FLAIL DRAMATICALLY ALL OVER THE PLACE. I just have to pencil it in for like… after dinner… 😛

I shouldn’t be on Tumblr right now but I believe the “scratch THAT itch” was from an interview from the 300th party that was juxtaposed with Euginie talking about destiel. I’d research it more before you get too excited, it’s always hard to tell the real meaning with these things

I never get excited about PR, especially PR edited by a media outlet that implies context that isn’t actually there in reality.

I assumed it was from the 300th party, where “fun” was a higher priority than “giving solid spoilers.” I mean, “giving solid spoilers” is never the goal of good pr anyway. 😛

But this is why I smile and nod politely at all pr.

Preserve our history: edit Fanlore!

Over the last few days, we’ve seen a lot of fans
worrying about the impact of Tumblr’s new Terms
of Service on fandom (and non-fandom) communities on this site. We’re concerned,
too.

While we don’t know exactly what that impact will
look like, we know that we can learn from our history by reading about similar occurrences,
such as Strikethrough
and Boldthrough and FanFiction.Net’s
NC-17 Purges. As this current situation unfolds, editors are documenting
the Tumblr NSFW
Content Purge so that we’ll have a collaborative record of these events as
well.

We’d love for you to add your perspectives,
histories, and knowledge to Fanlore. As a project of the Organization for
Transformative Works, we’re working to preserve the history of fanworks and fan
cultures by creating a living archive of fandom history that’s by and for fans –
but we can’t do it without you.
